How to Launch a Rebrand | The first 90 days
Today, we’re diving into what happens after your rebrand.
Because here’s the truth: Branding and marketing go hand in hand.
A beautiful brand doesn’t build a business on its own- it needs visibility, consistency, and smart marketing to do its job.
So if you’ve just gone through a rebrand- or are planning one soon- the first 90 days matter so much. And in this episode, I’ll break down:
- What to expect emotionally and practically
- The biggest mistakes to avoid
- What to do on the tech side to set your brand up for SEO success
- And five high-impact ways to maximize your rebrand starting right now
What to Expect When You Rebrand
Your rebrand might be complete, but let me be real with you: This is the beginning, not the end.
You’ll probably feel a mix of excitement, pride, and maybe even some imposter syndrome. You’ll wonder if your audience will “get it.” You might feel like you have to explain yourself- or worse, like you’re starting from scratch.
But you’re not starting over. You’re stepping into something that finally fits.
So expect some weirdness. Expect to second-guess a few things. And also expect an incredible sense of clarity if you lean into it.
Common Mistakes When You Launch Your Rebrand
Let’s talk about what not to do in the first 90 days.
Here are the top mistakes I see post-rebrand:
1. Going silent.
You launch the new look…and then disappear. If you don’t talk about it, your audience won’t either. Visibility needs consistency, especially now.
2. Only updating your website.
You need to update every brand touchpoint- social media, email signature, lead magnets, podcast art, course platforms, and more. Inconsistency creates confusion.
3. Rushing into a new offer before your ecosystem is ready.
Slow down. Make sure your messaging, visuals, and offer suite are aligned first.
4. Deleting all your old content.
Please don’t do this.
Your brand is allowed to evolve. In fact, it should. You don’t have to erase everything that came before- your past work shows your journey, your growth, and your credibility. Archive if needed, but don’t pretend your old brand never existed.
Don’t Forget: The Tech Essentials
Now for the behind-the-scenes tech that sets your rebrand up for search engine success:
1. Submit your sitemap to Google Search Console
This tells Google: “Hey! New brand, new pages- come crawl me!”
2. Reindex important pages
Get those key URLs like your homepage, services page, and blog recrawled with updated info.
3. Update your metadata + alt text
New brand = new SEO title tags, descriptions, and image alt tags. Make sure it all reflects your new messaging.
4. Set up 301 redirects
If your URLs changed, redirect the old ones properly. Otherwise, you lose SEO traction and break links.
5. Reconnect all analytics tools
Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, etc.- make sure everything is tracking on the right version of your site.
6. Update social previews (OG tags)
This controls how your content shows up when shared on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Don’t skip it.
How to Maximize Your First 90 Days After You Launch
Here are five high-impact actions to make your rebrand work for you:
1. Share the story, not just the design.
Why did you rebrand? What shifted in your business, vision, or audience? Take your people behind the scenes—it builds connection and trust.
2. Roll it out with intention.
Drip the brand across platforms over time. You don’t need to update everything in one day—but you do need a plan.
3. Pitch yourself.
Now’s the time to get featured- on podcasts, in articles, and on stages. You’ve got a strong visual identity and message to back you up.
4. Audit your offers.
Does your new positioning align with your pricing, packages, and delivery? Use this moment to refine or raise your rates.
5. Align your content with your new voice.
This is the fun part- let your new brand breathe. Make content that reflects your voice, values, and visuals. Don’t keep using language that belonged to your pre-rebrand self.
Your rebrand is a tool- not a trophy
It’s not something you put on the shelf. It’s something you use– strategically, intentionally, and consistently.
The first 90 days are where you build momentum, train your audience, and show up like the brand you’ve become.
And if you want a nitty gritty breakdown of exactly what to do post-rebrand- including all the tech stuff I mentioned?
